Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bernz Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Jomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tired and clearly flustered, he entered the arena late and after a little discussion it was decided that the bout should take place.
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bernz Gilas and Niko Jomo. Gilas's entrance music is Remember The Name - Fort Minor. A fine choice. Niko Jomo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bernz Gilas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niko Jomo!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Donk. Gilas catches Jomo right on the button with a cross.
Gilas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jomo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gilas scores with a hook to the body. Jomo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gilas lands a nice hook to Jomo's body. Jomo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gilas looks to score with a jab to the body but Jomo is just out of range.
Jomo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A telegraphed right hand from Gilas misses the target.
Bernz Gilas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jomo blocks a jab.
Gilas lunges at Jomo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jomo's hand.
Jomo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gilas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jomo back to the cage. Gilas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gilas just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Gilas finds it's way through Jomo's defenses.
Gilas throws a body punch but Jomo moves out of range.

Jomo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gilas is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Area 51, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Jomo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gilas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jomo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jomo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jomo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gilas tries to bench press Jomo off him but Jomo keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jomo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gilas, who protects the arm well.
Gilas is trying to get back to his feet.
Gilas sneaks back into half guard.
Jomo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gilas defending well though.
Jomo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gilas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jomo.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gilas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gilas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Gilas looking for a guillotine here but Jomo defends easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gilas will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Gilas doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jomo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gilas dives on top into guard.
Gilas stands up over Jomo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gilas is working Jomo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Gilas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jomo has his foot on Gilas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gilas works his way back into a safe position though.

Gilas controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gilas distracts Jomo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Gilas with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jomo is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bernz Gilas dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gilas circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jomo to the canvas! Jomo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gilas keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bernz Gilas!
After winning the bout, Bernz Gilas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
