Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antwan Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Micker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Micker acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antwan Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Micker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Micker pushes Wise up against the cage in a clinch.

Micker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wise uses from the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Micker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wise loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Micker manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wise fails to pull guard.
Micker gets underhooks to prevent Wise's takedown attempt.

Micker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wise is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Micker to the mat. Micker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Wise missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wise lands a couple of elbows.
Wise in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Micker controls Wise momentarily but Wise frees himself.

Wise throws a big right hand that misses.
Wise in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Micker wants to stand but Wise is controlling the position.

Micker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Micker holds on and takes a little breather.
Wise missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Micker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Wise postures up and lands a big shot to Micker's brow.
Wise scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Micker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Wise has gone for a leg lock! Micker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wise's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Micker stopping the sweep attempt from Wise.
Wise has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Micker controls from within his opponent's guard.

Wise trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Wise is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Micker is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Wise looking to hit a scissor sweep but Micker is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Micker.

Micker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wise to the ground. Micker is now in Wise's guard.
Micker is pushing down on Wise's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wise is fighting to maintain full guard but Micker has managed to sneak the leg through.

Micker is trying to work for a kimura but Wise is defending well.
Micker looks winded!
Wise wants to improve his position but Micker is controlling well.
Wise misses with some strikes from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Micker wants to free his trapped foot but Wise is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wise is staying active underneath Micker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jason Micker will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Micker closes the distance and clinches.
Wise using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Micker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Wise jumps guard.
Wise throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Micker tries to free his leg and advance position but Wise is retaining full guard.
Wise throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Micker trying to control but Wise is working from the bottom.
Wise looking for a sweep. Not yet Wise, not yet.

Wise is working an open guard so Micker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Micker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wise tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wise throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Micker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Micker is breathing heavily.

Wise will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wise throws his legs up looking for a submission but Micker uses it to pass to side control.

Micker stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Micker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Micker drops an elbow to the side of Wise's head.
Wise trying to control but Micker postures up.

Wise looking for a kimura from the bottom but Micker passes into side control!
Micker moves into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wise is squirming around, avoiding Micker's attempts to control the action.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wise can't escape the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Micker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wise is looking to escape.
Wise wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
I would not like to be Wise right now.
Micker has the hooks in. Wise is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wise trying to get back to his feet but Micker is in full control for now.

Micker patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Micker controlling well, preventing Wise from escaping the position.
Micker controls the action.
Wise staying busy and making it hard for Micker to control.
Wise rolls, trying to escape but Micker keeps control of the position.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Micker controlling the positon.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wise looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
I really don't envy Wise right now.
Wise is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Micker keeps control of the position easily here as Wise tries to buck him off.
Wise trying to control but not successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Micker has good solid back control here.

Jason Micker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Wise tries to keep at a distance but Micker has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wise wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Micker has him pressed against the cage.
Wise is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Micker pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Micker turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Micker manages to end up in side control.
Wise tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Micker easily slips into full mount!
Wise is bucking up trying to escape but Micker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Micker looking to control but Wise is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Wise is trying desperately to improve position.
Micker working the ground and pound effectively.
Micker fails to move to back control.

Micker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wise is looking to improve his position but Micker isn't that keen on the idea.
Wise is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Micker has control of Wise's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wise regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wise throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Wise throwing hammer fists to the chest of Micker. What's that going to do exactly?
Micker tries to control but Wise wriggling away.
Wise is in all sorts of trouble here.

Wise is working hard here to advance position.
Wise is bucking up trying to escape but Micker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Micker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Micker working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Micker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wise working to try and regain half guard.
Wise manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Micker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wise misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Wise is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Micker trying to control the action but Wise is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Antwan Wise has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jason Micker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jason Micker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Micker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
