Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Lokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jules Winnfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winnfield comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Say What Again!! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Lokey! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jules Winnfield! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winnfield uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lokey.
Winnfield rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lokey moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lokey misses with a hook. Winnfield ducked under it nicely. Lokey is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lokey throws a left and a right that both miss
and Winnfield counters with a shoot takedown. Lokey fights it but they end up in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winnfield accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lokey is pulling down on Winnfield's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winnfield won't allow Lokey to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lokey wants to stand and escape but Winnfield is having none of it. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lokey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lokey throws a nice looking combination but Winnfield bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lokey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Winnfield. Winnfield fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lokey lunges at Winnfield with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Winnfield's hand. Lokey ducks right into an uppercut from Winnfield. Lokey darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lokey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Winnfield.
That kick from Winnfield tenderised Lokey's leg. Lokey is trying to keep his angry face on. Richard Lokey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lokey. Winnfield does a little dance to reset his feet. Some bone on bone action there as Lokey checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A right-left combo lands from Lokey.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Winnfield scores with a jab. Lokey acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Lokey throws a jab when Winnfield was well out of range. Winnfield throws a hook to the side of Lokey's head but Lokey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lokey feints a jab promting Winnfield to slip. Lokey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Winnfield slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Winnfield scores with a jab to the jaw. Lokey lands a head shot. Lokey throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lokey slips a straight right by Winnfield. Some wild striking there from Lokey.
Lokey swings and misses with a shot to the body so Winnfield counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Winnfield with a flurry of punches that miss. Winnfield wants to control from the top but Lokey keeps moving.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A shot to the body from Lokey misses and Winnfield counters with a nice double leg into guard. Winnfield slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lokey utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lokey keeping moving, preventing Winnfield from controlling successfully. Lokey wants to stand and escape but Winnfield is having none of it. Winnfield passes Lokey's left leg - he's now in half guard. Lokey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lokey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Winnfield on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Winnfield sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lokey is looking to improve his position but Winnfield isn't that keen on the idea. Lokey is squirming around, avoiding Winnfield's attempts to control the action. Lokey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lokey is controlling Winnfield's position as best he can from this difficult position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lokey is looking to escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lokey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lokey swings and misses with a shot to the body and Winnfield decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lokey's guard. Winnfield advances to half guard. Winnfield trying to control the action but Lokey is working from the bottom. Winnfield seems to be working for a kimura but Lokey defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lokey tries to kick Winnfield off but Winnfield keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lokey is staying active underneath Winnfield, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Winnfield is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! A big strike lands for Winnfield! That's really hurt Lokey and he's turned his back - Winnfield keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Winnfield jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jules Winnfield! Jules Winnfield is the new welterweight champion! Jules Winnfield decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. In defeat, Richard Lokey stepped up to the mic, saying 'good fight'.
