PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Andua Rameau Sokoudju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Doucet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doucet has chosen Pop Evil - Trenches as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Sokoudju.

It looks like Aaron Doucet has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sokoudju looks to land a left hand but Doucet moved out of range nicely.
Doucet tries to clinch but Sokoudju is having none of it.
Sokoudju misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Doucet avoids the head kick by Sokoudju.
Doucet uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sokoudju.
Sokoudju misses with a looping right.
A good leg kick by Doucet.
Doucet dodges the punch combination from Sokoudju.
Sokoudju connects with a body shot.
A head kick from Doucet lands but Sokoudju takes it in his stride.
Andua Rameau Sokoudju seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sokoudju crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Doucet - the referee stops the clock and Sokoudju gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Doucet. Sokoudju manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Doucet slips a straight right by Sokoudju.
Sokoudju throws the left hand but Doucet avoids the punch easily.

Doucet gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Doucet is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Sokoudju breaks the clinch.
Doucet defending well as Sokoudju loads up on a big left hand.
Doucet is looking to clinch but Sokoudju is avoiding it.
Doucet misses with a jab, cross combination.

Doucet has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sokoudju tries to work over Doucet's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Doucet with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sokoudju prevents Doucet from breaking the clinch.
Doucet keeps control of Sokoudju as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sokoudju pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Doucet tries to clinch but Sokoudju is having none of it.
Nice cross by Doucet.

Doucet lands a nice shot to the body.
Sokoudju jabs at Doucet's body.
Sokoudju rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Doucet counters with a head kick. That will keep Sokoudju thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Doucet has managed to clinch.
Doucet tries to circle away but Sokoudju has him pinned against the cage.
Sokoudju is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Doucet's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Doucet struggles to land a body shot inside as Sokoudju controls his hands.
Doucet creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Sokoudju keeps control of Doucet as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sokoudju breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doucet misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sokoudju misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sokoudju throws a head kick that misses
and Doucet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sokoudju cracks a nice hook into Doucet's ribs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Doucet scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Sokoudju pushes Doucet away with a front kick.
Doucet looks winded!
Doucet slips under a jab.
No joy there for Sokoudju, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sokoudju closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Doucet crashing to the mat! Doucet uses the cage to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Doucet is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Doucet is still on wobbly legs! Can Sokoudju finish him?
Sokoudju circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Doucet tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Sokoudju wins by KO!
