Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kert Nigobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brutus Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kert Nigobson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nash fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nigobson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nash digs a good body shot into Nigobson's ribs. Nigobson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nash. A looping hook to the body misses from Nigobson. Nash does a little dance to reset his feet. Nigobson tries to clinch but Nash is having none of it. Nigobson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nash sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nigobson tries to avoid it but Nash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nigobson to the ground. Nigobson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brutus Nash. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nigobson shoots in and drives through. Nash sprawls well. Kert Nigobson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nigobson looking to score a takedown here. Nash is defending well but Nigobson drives through and ends up in Nash's guard. Nigobson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nigobson trying to control the position from guard on top but Nash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nigobson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nigobson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nigobson wants to control from the top but Nash keeps moving. Nash avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nash keeping moving, preventing Nigobson from controlling successfully. Nash trying to keep a closed guard but Nigobson is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nigobson throws a shot from downtown. Nash moves away and avoids it. Nigobson slips a jab from Nash.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nigobson looks to land a right hand but Nash moved out of range. Nigobson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nash to the ground. Nigobson is now in Nash's guard. Nash keeping full guard, as Nigobson tries to pass. Nigobson distracts Nash with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Nash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nigobson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nigobson throwing strikes from guard but Nash blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nash preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nigobson with a flurry of punches that miss. Nigobson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nash is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nigobson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nigobson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nigobson forces his way into half guard. Nash wants to control but Nigobson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nash avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nigobson. Nash slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Nigobson lands a couple of digs. Nigobson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nigobson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nigobson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nash has momentary wrist control but Nigobson slips an elbow through the middle. Nigobson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Nigobson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Nash screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Nigobson! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Kert Nigobson! After the fight, Kert Nigobson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
