Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rahkim Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvin Andrews will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rahkim Abdullah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marvin Andrews! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abdullah is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andrews sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Andrews throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Abdullah's waist but Abdullah gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Andrews off to one side. Andrews slips a jab and a cross from Abdullah.
Andrews finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Andrews connects with a looping right hand.
Andrews throws a nice outside leg kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Andrews has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Andrews throws a body shot but no joy. Rahkim Abdullah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abdullah dives in and grabs Andrews's left leg, looking for a takedown. Andrews pushes down on Abdullah's head and hops out. Abdullah with a lazy takedown attempt and Andrews decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Abdullah's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rahkim Abdullah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abdullah keeping moving, preventing Andrews from controlling successfully. Abdullah looking for a sweep. Not yet Abdullah, not yet. Andrews advances to half guard. Andrews controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews is working for an americana but Abdullah has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Andrews was thinking about the submission. Andrews wants to control from the top but Abdullah keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Andrews postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Abdullah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Andrews as he avoids it easily. Andrews looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Abdullah looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Andrews! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Andrews takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Abdullah postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Andrews regains half guard. Andrews avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Abdullah.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abdullah lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Andrews looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Abdullah trying to control the action but Andrews is working from the bottom. Abdullah prevents Andrews from improving his position. Abdullah is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Abdullah passes to side control. Abdullah creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Andrews sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Abdullah landing a few strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrews sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Andrews manages to get to full guard.
Andrews has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abdullah can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Andrews escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abdullah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Abdullah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Abdullah postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Andrews throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andrews is trying to keep Abdullah in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rahkim Abdullah will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Abdullah shoots in but Andrews avoids the takedown attempt easily. Abdullah doesn't succeed with the takedown and Andrews counters with a leg kick. Abdullah has his takedown stuffed and Andrews counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rahkim Abdullah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abdullah keeping moving, preventing Andrews from controlling successfully. Andrews passes into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrews is trying to control the action in half guard but Abdullah is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews stops Abdullah from getting back to his feet.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Andrews is looking for a kimura here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Andrews in particular looking to stall. Andrews is trying to work for a kimura but Abdullah is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Andrews looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Andrews lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Andrews has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Andrews wants to free his trapped foot but Abdullah is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrews keeps trying to improve his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Abdullah slips a straight right by Andrews. No luck for Abdullah with that takedown attempt. Abdullah shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Andrews's guard. Abdullah has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Andrews to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Abdullah is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Andrews pulls down on the head and he's put Abdullah to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marvin Andrews! Our winner, Marvin Andrews, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
