Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donovan Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas has chosen "Assassins" by Insane Clown Posse as his entrance music. William Honda has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Honda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donovan Douglas! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Douglas postures up.
Douglas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Douglas checks a leg kick. Honda could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Honda. Honda avoids the head kick by Douglas.
A combination from Douglas does no damage. Honda shoots in but no luck this time. Douglas swats away the attempt to clinch by Honda. Honda tries to clinch there but Douglas circles away.
Douglas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Douglas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Douglas throws a nice looking combination but Honda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Honda lands a glancing blow to the side of Douglas's head.
It looks like Donovan Douglas has been cut. Honda tries to clinch up but Douglas circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda has taken the fight to the clinch.
Honda fails to pull guard.
Honda lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Douglas. Honda is leaning against Douglas and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Douglas looks gassed! Honda tries for a takedown but Douglas manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Honda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Douglas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Honda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Douglas counters with a nice kick to the body. Honda blocks a jab. Douglas goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like William Honda has been cut. Left hook, right uppercut from Honda. This has been an exciting period of action! Honda fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Honda clinches. Honda lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Douglas. Honda is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Douglas wants to get back to striking at distance but Honda won't allow it.
Honda lands a right hand that snaps the head of Douglas backwards. Honda tries to stall but Douglas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Honda misses with a knee to the head. Honda gets underhooks to prevent Douglas's takedown attempt.
Honda throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Honda scores with an uppercut up the middle. Douglas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Honda lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Honda wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Honda lands with a left to the head. Douglas breaks from the clinch.
Honda shoots for a takedown but Douglas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Douglas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Honda's guard. Honda looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Douglas stands up from guard. Let's bang! Honda moves into range and clinches up with Douglas. Douglas stalls. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Honda landing knees to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Honda. Honda tries to pull guard but Douglas won't allow it.
Douglas pushes Honda back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Honda is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Douglas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Douglas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. William Honda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Honda misses with a wild body shot. Douglas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Honda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Douglas counters with a good, hard body kick but Honda shrugs it off. Honda throws a sloppy head kick and Douglas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Douglas keeps the fight on the outside. Honda swinging wilding here.
Honda doesn't manage to clinch there - Douglas circles away.
Douglas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Douglas clinches. Honda lands a left hand.
Douglas lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Honda drops down looking for an ankle pick but Douglas pulls his leg out and moves away.
A head kick misses from Honda. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William Honda will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Douglas darts in and clinches Honda up against the cage. Honda prevents a takedown attempt there.
Douglas tries to pull guard but Honda holds him up against the cage and eventually Douglas drops back down to his feet.
Douglas lands a shoulder strike. Douglas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Honda tries for a takedown but Douglas circles away easily and Douglas counters by clinching up. Douglas stalling against the cage.
Douglas has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Honda is trying to keep an underhook but Douglas manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Honda pushes Douglas off and gets back to his feet. Honda misses with a takedown attempt - Douglas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Honda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Douglas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Honda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Honda fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douglas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Honda tries to stall but Douglas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Douglas scores a takedown into full mount! Honda keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Honda tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. William Honda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Honda tries for a takedown but Douglas circles away easily and Douglas counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Honda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Douglas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Honda misses with a takedown and Douglas counters with a solid body kick. Douglas lands a head kick. Honda smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Douglas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Honda is standing up over Douglas. Douglas looks to escape but Honda dives into side control.

Douglas is letting Honda control him for a moment. Honda prevents Douglas from escaping the position. Douglas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Honda's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Honda works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Douglas gets back to half guard. Honda keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Honda is trying to control the action in half guard but Douglas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Douglas trying to control but Honda postures up.
Honda is looking to take a break and control but Douglas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Donovan Douglas has got the better of the ground game so far. Douglas is trying to stand.

Donovan Douglas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Honda throws a sloppy head kick and Douglas counters with a shoot takedown. Honda fights it but they end up in guard. Honda keeping moving, preventing Douglas from controlling successfully. Honda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Douglas is standing up over Honda. Honda looks to escape but Douglas dives into side control.
Douglas decides to take the fight back to the feet. Honda tries to close the distance and clinch but Douglas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Douglas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Honda tries to clinch there but Douglas circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Douglas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Honda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Douglas on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Douglas escapes and gets back to his feet. Douglas is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Honda. Douglas scores with a punch to the head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Douglas. Some wild striking there from Douglas.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Douglas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Douglas showed some decent athleticism there. Honda trying to control from the bottom.
Honda keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Honda wants to control but Douglas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Honda taking some punishment here, with Douglas in his half guard. Honda keeping control of the position. Douglas decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Douglas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Honda tries to clinch up and Douglas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Honda tries to bum rush Douglas with a series of wild strikes but Douglas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Douglas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Douglas showed some decent athleticism there. Douglas stands up from half guard.

Honda sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Honda shoots for a double leg takedown but Douglas sprawls well. He's pushed Honda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Douglas fails in his attempt to clinch. Douglas displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Honda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Douglas but Douglas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Honda swats away the attempt to clinch by Douglas. Honda fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Douglas on the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Douglas misses with a double jab.
Honda has his takedown stuffed and Douglas counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! Donovan Douglas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Douglas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
