Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JJ Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds loads up on a big right hand but Sanderson slips the punch.
Sanderson throws a series of punches but Reynolds moves out of range.
Sanderson misses with a two punch combination.
Sanderson misses with a takedown
and Reynolds counters with an inside leg kick.
Reynolds wants to clinch up but Sanderson keeps it at a distance.
Reynolds throws a looping overhand right but Sanderson ducks down to avoid it.
Sanderson fails to land with a series of punches.
Reynolds dives in and grabs Sanderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanderson pushes down on Reynolds's head and hops out.
Reynolds slaps away a takedown attempt from Sanderson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reynolds is fending him off so far but Sanderson persists. Nope, Reynolds circles away and we're back to standing.

We're going to have a standup here because JJ Sanderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Sanderson wants to get back to his feet but Reynolds is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Reynolds wants to pass the guard but Sanderson is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sanderson needs to keep his hands up - Reynolds had a free shot at his head there.
Sanderson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reynolds's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
JJ Sanderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanderson throws a right hand that Reynolds ducks under and follows up with a left that Reynolds also avoids with ease.
Sanderson closes the distance and clinches up with Reynolds, looking for a takedown. Sanderson pushes Reynolds against the cage but Reynolds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Reynolds turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Reynolds manages to end up in side control.

Reynolds misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Sanderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reynolds.

Malcolm Reynolds is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
