Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Kavanaue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Kavanaue has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Williams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Kavanaue! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in and drives through. Kavanaue sprawls well. Kavanaue circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like John Williams has been cut. Williams tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kavanaue counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kavanaue stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kavanaue's waist but Kavanaue gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Williams. Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Kavanaue tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kavanaue manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kavanaue circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams looks to clinch and Kavanaue counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Kavanaue.
Williams tries for a takedown but Kavanaue sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kavanaue lands a big right hand that sends Williams crashing to the mat! Kavanaue stays standing though and waves Williams back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams shoots in for a double leg but Kavanaue sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Williams is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Kavanaue moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Kavanaue!
