The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gleiser rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Veide moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Veide counters with a crisp one two that drops Gleiser! Veide thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gleiser to his feet! Gleiser is in big trouble!

Veide steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gleiser.

Gleiser misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Veide sends Gleiser crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Veide is motioning to the referee to let Gleiser up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That has opened up Michael Gleiser's cut even more.
Gleiser sizes up Veide with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Veide counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gleiser closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Veide.

Veide escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gleiser drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The cut above Michael Gleiser's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Veide lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gleiser's sensitive parts.
Gleiser tries to close the distance and clinch but Veide swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Veide is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Gleiser hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Varg Veide!
