Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kabal Labak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amun Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kabal Labak could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Amun Ra's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kabal Labak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amun Ra!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Labak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ra moves away.
Ra scores with a leg kick.
Ra chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ra lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Labak moves out of range of the body kick from Ra.
Ra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ra misses with a body kick.
Ra looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Labak seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Good work by Labak as he checks the leg kick.
Ra fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Labak.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ra enables Labak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ra manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Labak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ra is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Labak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Labak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Labak is looking to advance position but Ra has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Ra looking to control but Labak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Labak keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Labak is working hard here to advance position.
Ra tries to stand up but Labak grabs his leg and drags him down! Labak is now on top, in side control.
Labak just content to control the position.
Labak laying and praying for a moment but Ra takes advantage and regains half guard.

Labak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ra is just riding it out for now. Labak eventually gives up the hold.

Ra tries to kick Labak off but Labak keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Labak wants to control but Ra is keeping him busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Labak with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Labak is looking to take a break and control but Ra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Kabal Labak wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Labak lands a jab.
Ra throws a wild body kick that Labak sees coming a mile off.
Ra fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Labak checks it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Labak blocks a low kick nicely.
Ra plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Labak.
Amun Ra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Labak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ra is fending him off so far but Labak persists. Nope, Ra circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kabal Labak will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Labak dives in for a single leg takedown but Ra sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Labak misses with the head strike.
Labak looking to slow down the pace here.
Labak swings wildly with an uppercut but Ra uses good head movement to avoid it.
Labak tries a body shot but Ra blocks it.
Labak doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ra stops a takedown attempt from Labak.
Labak is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kabal Labak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Labak goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Labak throws a punch but it's blocked by Ra.

Labak keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ra's efforts to push away.
Still in the clinch, Labak scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ra lands a nice uppercut.


It looks like Kabal Labak has been cut.

Ra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ra fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Labak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Ra turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Some bone on bone action there as Labak checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Labak takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Ra throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ra lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A looping hook to the body misses from Labak. Ra does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ra pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Labak walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ra.

Labak takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Labak checks a leg kick.
Ra looks to land a body kick but Labak moved away.
Amun Ra seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Labak takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ra fakes the leg kick and cracks Labak in the body.
Ra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ra feints and then cracks Labak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Labak down.

A solid body kick from Ra.
Ra fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ra. That's going to slow Labak down.
Ra lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ra tries to land a front kick but Labak steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ra throws a front kick that sends Labak stumbling back into the cage.

Ra fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Labak.
Labak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Labak is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Ra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
