Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mose Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pera Vikic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pera Vikic looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mose Barron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pera Vikic! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barron fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Vikic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Barron closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Barron postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vikic to stand up. Vikic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Barron trying to control the position here. Barron is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Barron content to control rather than advance. Barron decides to stand and escape the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vikic leaves Barron with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barron doesn't succeed with the takedown and Vikic counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mose Barron. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee calls for Barron to work.
Vikic prevents Barron from breaking the clinch. Barron decides to pull guard. Barron looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barron keeping moving, preventing Vikic from controlling successfully. Barron keeping full guard, as Vikic tries to pass. Vikic is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vikic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barron looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barron looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barron! Barron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Barron trying to control the position but Vikic is working away. Barron is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Vikic will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vikic is trying to get back to his feet. Barron decides to stand back up. Barron steps back and let's Vikic get back to his feet. Barron closes the distance and clinches up with Vikic, looking for a takedown. Barron pushes Vikic against the cage but Vikic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Barron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vikic as he avoids it easily. Barron dives in and grabs Vikic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vikic pushes down on Barron's head and hops out. Barron misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Barron shoots in for a double leg but Vikic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Barron. Barron tries for a takedown but Vikic circles away easily and Vikic counters by moving into the clinch. Vikic is trying to trip Barron. He has hold of a leg but Barron is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Vikic persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Barron bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vikic's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barron controlling from the top position. Vikic looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mose Barron dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mose Barron's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Barron misses with a takedown and Vikic counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Barron fails to pull guard.
Barron has had enough of the clinch but Vikic keeps him there for the moment. Barron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vikic gets a double leg takedown into Barron's guard. Vikic is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vikic is looking to pass into half guard but Barron pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Barron is in guard. Vikic being controlled here, momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barron trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barron slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Barron decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vikic, up you get! Barron misses with an uppercut. Barron fails in his attempt to clinch. Barron fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mose Barron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barron throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barron looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Barron slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vikic has Barron pulled in close to control his posture. Mose Barron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barron stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vikic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barron. Vikic stuffs the takedown attempt from Barron. Barron gets slowly back to his feet. Barron shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vikic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Vikic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barron's guard. Barron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barron is controlling Vikic's posture. Vikic has gone for a leg lock! Barron slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vikic's guard. Barron is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vikic looking to control.
Vikic keeping full guard, as Barron tries to pass. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vikic is pulling down on Barron's head. It's preventing any offense from Barron, at least for the moment. Barron trying to control the position from guard on top but Vikic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mose Barron dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Mose Barron's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Barron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vikic's waist but Vikic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barron off to one side. Barron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vikic as he avoids it easily. Barron with a poor takedown and Vikic counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vikic. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mose Barron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barron can't break the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Barron is trying to pull guard but Vikic has him pressed against the cage. Barron is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vikic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Barron to the mat. Barron regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Barron keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Barron's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barron stands up from half guard. Barron fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vikic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vikic lands in his opponent's guard. Vikic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barron looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barron looks to have wriggled free... Vikic struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vikic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Barron haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee asks Barron politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Barron prefers to stall for the moment though.
We're going to have a standup here because Mose Barron wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Barron closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vikic to the mat! Vikic manages to get full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vikic working a defensive guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! Mose Barron showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
