Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snapper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Snapper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cotton is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Snapper's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alfonzo Cotton.

Cotton darts in and clinches Snapper up against the cage.
Cotton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Snapper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cotton sprawls well initially but Snapper persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Snapper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cotton keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snapper is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Snapper thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cotton holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Snapper trying to control the action but Cotton is working from the bottom.
Cotton is pressing down on Snapper's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cotton is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cotton is on top in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cotton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Snapper is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cotton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Cotton connects with a couple of short punches.
Cotton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cotton's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Snapper decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Cotton is looking for a sweep. Snapper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Snapper is working for an americana but Cotton has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Snapper was thinking about the submission.

Cotton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Snapper is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cotton.

Cotton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Snapper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cotton is doing well to control the position and prevent Snapper from advancing to side control.

Snapper must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Snapper is fighting to break Cotton's control of his arms but Cotton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Cotton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snapper defends it easily.
Cotton is adopting a defensive guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Douglas Snapper wasn't active enough on the ground.
Snapper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cotton's half guard.
Cotton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Snapper's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Snapper's back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cotton has the hooks in. Snapper is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Cotton passes his arm under Snapper's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Snapper taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alfonzo Cotton!
Douglas Snapper spoke after the fight, saying 'It was a tough fight. I gave it everything I had, but in the end I was defeated and that's not what I do. I will be back better than I was before. '.
