The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mercurious circles away quickly and effectively.
James takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mercurious is looking to improve his position.
James is trying to control. Mercurious wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
James seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mercurious is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mercurious avoid being mounted?
James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mercurious with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mercurious has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at GreatWall MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mercurious is trying to get back to full guard.

James seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mercurious is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
