Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lars Thunstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Spitfire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lars Thunstrom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bob!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a leg kick which misses Thunstrom's front leg but catches the back leg as Thunstrom tries to avoid it.
Thunstrom throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely.
Bob just misses with a punch to the body.
Thunstrom misses with an uppercut.
Thunstrom checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Thunstrom has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Thunstrom throws a jab but it's blocked by Bob.
Bob wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bob has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thunstrom is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Bob drives through with a takedown into Thunstrom's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thunstrom has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bob has managed to get both his arms back between Thunstrom's legs - danger averted.
Bob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bob forces his way into half guard.
Bob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thunstrom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Thunstrom wants to control but Bob is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bob is looking to stall here but Thunstrom recovers full guard.

Thunstrom has his foot on Bob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bob works his way back into a safe position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bob postures up in Thunstrom's guard and throws a big left but Thunstrom blocks it.
Thunstrom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bob is posturing up here but Thunstrom has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bob tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bob has to tap! Slick submission there by Thunstrom!
