Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Huddlestone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monroe comes into the arena with Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd blaring out of the sound system. Jon Monroe is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jon Monroe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Huddlestone! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monroe scores with a one two! Huddlestone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Tom Huddlestone has been cut. Monroe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Huddlestone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monroe.

Monroe's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Monroe duly obliges. Monroe wants to clinch and Huddlestone counters with a series of strikes. Monroe will be more careful next time no doubt. Monroe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Huddlestone lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Huddlestone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Huddlestone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Monroe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Huddlestone somewhat. Monroe is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Huddlestone asserts his dominance and retains side control. Huddlestone throws a strike aimed at the side of Monroe's head but Monroe avoids it well. We've been informed that Huddlestone has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Monroe explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Monroe doesn't manage to clinch there - Huddlestone circles away.

Huddlestone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tom Huddlestone has got the better of the ground game so far. Jon Monroe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Huddlestone seems to have recovered his senses. Monroe prevents Huddlestone from improving position. Huddlestone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Huddlestone tries to move into full mount but can't pass Monroe's legs. Huddlestone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Monroe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that's the end of the fight! Jon Monroe showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Monroe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Tom Huddlestone was interviewed post fight and said 'gonna take some time of to decide if im gonna continue to keep fighting or not!'.
