Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Dclxvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Kramer looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Project Dclxvi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kramer moves out of range as Dclxvi throws a body kick.
Dclxvi keeps the fight on the outside.
Kramer checks a leg kick.
Dclxvi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dclxvi digs a good body shot into Kramer's ribs.
Dclxvi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kramer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kramer throws a push kick but Dclxvi slaps the foot to one side.
Project Dclxvi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kramer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kramer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Dclxvi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kramer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dclxvi tries to avoid it but Kramer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dclxvi to the ground. Dclxvi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kramer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dclxvi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kramer on the ground.

Dclxvi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kramer is controlling him well.

Dclxvi pushes Kramer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kramer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kramer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dclxvi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Kramer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dclxvi is not content to let Kramer control the position.
Kramer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Dclxvi pushes Kramer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kramer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Even with his hooks in, Kramer manages to miss with strikes from the back.

I would just about give that final round to John Kramer.
I think Kramer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
