Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Bashman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Hall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulk Bashman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Hall!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall tries to land a front kick but Bashman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bashman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bashman lands with a kick to the temple. Hall shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bashman throws a sloppy head kick and Hall moves out of range easily.
Bashman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bashman looks to land a combination but Hall avoids it well.
Bashman throws a front kick aimed at Hall's knee but Hall avoids it well.
Bashman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hall can pounce on him.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Hall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bashman's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bashman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hall is keen to just control but Bashman is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bashman moves out of range of the strikes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hall has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hulk Bashman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hall blocks a head kick by Bashman.
Hall looks to land a body kick but Bashman moved away.

Hall throws a low kick, looking for Bashman's leg but Bashman calmly moves out of range.
Bashman throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hall manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bashman on his heels. He'll look to pass Bashman's guard now, I'm sure.

Hall feints and as Bashman raises his hands in defense, Hall changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hall is looking to work some ground and pound but Bashman has wrist control.
Bashman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hall is nestled in close to Bashman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
