Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Hatayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Garcia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sottotono - Quei bravi ragazzi. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hatayama's choice of entrance music: Samurai Soul. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roberto Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Hatayama! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatayama swats away the attempt to clinch by Garcia. Hatayama avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hatayama throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A jab from Garcia misses. Hatayama keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Garcia fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Garcia misses with a two punch combination.
Garcia walks into a jab. Hatayama paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Garcia throws a half hearted mid kick. Garcia moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Garcia lands with a kick to the temple. Hatayama shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Hiroshi Hatayama has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Garcia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hatayama moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Garcia swinging wilding here.
Garcia looks to land a left hand but Hatayama moved out of range nicely. Garcia throws an overhand right that lands on Hatayama's shoulder, as Hatayama tries to avoid the shot. Hatayama uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia walks into a straight right hand from Hatayama. A left lands for Hatayama. Garcia fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hatayama scores with a takedown into Garcia's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hatayama is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hatayama trying to control but Garcia is working from the bottom. Hatayama stands and steps away. Garcia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Garcia moves out of range as Hatayama strikes. Garcia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hatayama lands with a right hand. Garcia is looking to clinch. Hatayama lands a lovely overhand right. Garcia looks to land a combination but Hatayama avoids it well. Garcia shoots for a double leg takedown but Hatayama sprawls well. He's pushed Garcia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Roberto Garcia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Garcia is breathing heavily. Hatayama bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hatayama connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hatayama throws a nice looking combination but Garcia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Hatayama as he connects with a hook. Hatayama lands with a straight right. Garcia didn't see that one coming. Hatayama lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Hatayama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hatayama landing strikes, looking to finish! Hatayama with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hatayama wants to control the pace but Garcia is squirming around nicely. Garcia is trying to escape the mount but Hatayama keeps good control and instead manages to take Garcia's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatayama is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Garcia defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Hatayama working for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hatayama struggling to keep hold of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hatayama is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Danga de danga de dang - Hatayama scores with a four punch combination! Hatayama connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A slow jab from Hatayama misses its intended target. Hatayama scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Roberto Garcia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Garcia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia is looking to clinch. A left and a right from Garcia both land. Nice combination. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hatayama throws the left hand but Garcia avoids the punch easily. Hatayama moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Garcia throws a head kick but Hatayama moves out of range.
Hatayama lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Hatayama uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Garcia has time to react. Hatayama avoids the head kick by Garcia.
Hatayama lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hatayama bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Garcia's head. Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Garcia looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Garcia tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatayama shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Garcia's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Hatayama drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hatayama jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hatayama controlling from the top position. Hatayama is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatayama wants to pass the guard but Garcia is keeping the position. Garcia keeping moving, preventing Hatayama from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hatayama cracks Garcia with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Garcia misses the shot to the body. Garcia misses with a head kick.
Nice body kick from Hatayama. Hatayama scores with the left hand. Garcia knows he should have avoided that one. Garcia gets caught flat footed, as Hatayama shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hatayama trying to control but Garcia is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshi Hatayama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Hiroshi Hatayama's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Garcia throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hatayama counters with a left to the body. Hiroshi Hatayama seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hatayama buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hatayama fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Garcia sprawls well initially but Hatayama persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hatayama perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hatayama works his way into full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hatayama working Garcia over with strikes here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hatayama. Hatayama has control of Garcia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Garcia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatayama thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Garcia is looking to improve his position but Hatayama isn't that keen on the idea. Hatayama moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Garcia has worked his arm free - good work by Garcia!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hatayama's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Hiroshi Hatayama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Garcia tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Roberto Garcia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hatayama's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Garcia is looking to control Hatayama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garcia avoid being mounted? Garcia flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshi Hatayama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hatayama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
