Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sub Mission (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Hutcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sub Mission!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Hutcher!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mission changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hutcher tries to avoid it but Mission manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hutcher to the ground. Hutcher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mission shoots in but no luck this time.

Hutcher gets a double leg takedown into Mission's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Mission has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hutcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hutcher scores with a couple of short elbows.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mission is trying to escape the position but Hutcher is controlling the position.
Mission is trying to get back to half guard.
Hutcher lands some shots froms side control.

Mission tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hutcher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hutcher cracks Mission with a big right hand but Mission just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mission is trying to control Hutcher's posture but Hutcher avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mission is breathing heavily.
Mission is not content to let Hutcher control the position.
Mission takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Mission tries to buck Hutcher off but Hutcher is having none of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mission prevents Hutcher from moving into mount.
Hutcher is putting a hurting on Mission here, landing some big shots from side control.

Mission is rocked!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hutcher is trying to get an arm triangle but Mission is defending well.
Oh Mission is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mission gets back to half guard.
Mission seems to have got his legs back now.
Hutcher performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Hutcher is working for a kimura but Mission is defending it quite comfortably.
Hutcher slips a nice elbow through Mission's hands, connecting with Mission's forehead.
Hutcher works his way into full mount!
Hutcher avoids the attempt from Mission to control.

Hutcher looking to finish Mission with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mission!

Mission sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mission tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hutcher has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mission is in a horrible position here. Hutcher smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mission keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hutcher trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Sam Hutcher dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hutcher working over Mission with some ground and pound. Mission looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mission wants to improve his position but Hutcher is controlling well.
Hutcher slips a nice elbow through Mission's hands, connecting with Mission's forehead.
Hutcher is looking to take a break and control but Mission is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hutcher is nestled in close to Mission, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hutcher has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hutcher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mission with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mission tries to reverse the position but Hutcher maintains control.
Hutcher tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hutcher fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mission wants to hold on but Hutcher pushes him away.
Hutcher lands with some strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hutcher tries to control but Mission wriggling away.
Hutcher lands a couple of good shots and Mission has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Hutcher cracks Mission with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Mission from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Mission is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hutcher.

Hutcher lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Mission hold on?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hutcher lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Hutcher patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Mission could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hutcher has Mission flattened out and is raining down punches.
Hutcher is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Mission. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Hutcher is trying to stick to Mission's back but Mission is turning into Hutcher. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hutcher's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hutcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mission is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hutcher pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Hutcher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mission tries to buck Hutcher off but Hutcher is having none of it.
A lull in the action here as Hutcher stalls from top position.
Mission is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hutcher connects with a decent elbow.
Sub Mission has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hutcher has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mission!

Hutcher has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mission's face.

Hutcher postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mission in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mission to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
