Shoupp's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Send The Pain Below. Sanchez has chosen WALK BY PANTERA as his entrance music. Dj Sanchez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Shoupp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dj Sanchez! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoupp misses with a left hand and Sanchez counters with a nice body shot. Shoupp misses with a leg kick and Sanchez counters with a stiff right hand. A swing and a miss from Shoupp. A leg kick checked by Sanchez. Sanchez thumps Shoupp with a low kick. Shoupp throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shoupp takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shoupp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shoupp lands in his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Shoupp throwing strikes from guard but Sanchez blocks nicely. Shoupp throws an elbow that misses. Sanchez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shoupp's guard. Nice move by Sanchez! Shoupp on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shoupp tries to get out of the position. Shoupp being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez passes Shoupp's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sanchez missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sanchez seems to be working for a kimura but Shoupp defends the submission attempt. Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Shoupp is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Shoupp tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sanchez!
