Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Willy Wonka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McDaniel! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - McDaniel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McDaniel wants to clinch and Wonka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wonka. Wonka trying to control but McDaniel is working from the bottom. Wonka stays in close to McDaniel's body and controls the position. McDaniel pushes Wonka off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. McDaniel tries to clinch there but Wonka circles away.
John McDaniel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDaniel wants to clinch. McDaniel is looking to clinch but Wonka is avoiding it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wonka trying to control the position from guard on top but McDaniel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDaniel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wonka trying to control but McDaniel postures up.
McDaniel scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wonka manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDaniel gets to his feet - Wonka follows without any prompting. McDaniel closes the distance and clinches. Wonka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McDaniel smiles and moves away.

McDaniel unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wonka lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Wonka is breathing heavily. McDaniel gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. McDaniel stands up and waves to Wonka to follow him. McDaniel rushes Wonka and presses him up against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wonka takes a knee right on the jaw!
McDaniel turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John McDaniel dominated that round. That's time! Wonka's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McDaniel rushes Wonka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. McDaniel with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. McDaniel lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Willy Wonka has been cut. Wonka wants to break the clinch but can't.

McDaniel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wonka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wonka pulls McDaniel in close to prevent any damage. McDaniel wants to control from the top but Wonka keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wonka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McDaniel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. McDaniel stands up from Wonka's guard - McDaniel perhaps looking for a knockout. McDaniel gets a clinch. Wonka goes for a takedown in the clinch but McDaniel prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McDaniel lands an elbow that stopped Wonka in his tracks for a moment. Wonka tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McDaniel just stands there and leans against the cage. McDaniel working Wonka over with knees to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDaniel wants the takedown. Wonka is fighting it off but McDaniel persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wonka's guard against the cage. McDaniel passes Wonka's right leg, so he's now in half guard. McDaniel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. McDaniel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McDaniel content to control rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDaniel escapes and gets back to his feet. McDaniel tries to clinch but Wonka is having none of it. Wonka gets tackled into the cage by McDaniel. McDaniel maintains the clinch. McDaniel has clasped his hands together around Wonka's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Wonka wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Wonka seems a little lost for a moment, as McDaniel dominates the positioning. Wonka struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDaniel controlling the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wonka wants to get back to his feet but McDaniel drags him back down. Wonka is not content to let McDaniel control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
John McDaniel has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McDaniel tries to clinch there but Wonka circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to John McDaniel. Well McDaniel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
