The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punk lands with an uppercut that bounces Hunt off the cage and back into range.
Punk jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hunt tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Punk defends well and Hunt ends up having to push Punk into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hunt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Punk to keep the fight standing.
Punk working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Hunt blocks an uppercut.
Hunt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Punk scores with a shot to the side of Hunt's head.

Hunt goes for a double leg but Punk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Punk continues to drive forward.

Punk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hunt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Punk throws the left hand but Hunt avoids the punch easily.

Punk smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Punk looks to throw the jab but Hunt is out of range.

and Punk counters with a right hand to the body.
The Punk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunt walks into a straight right hand from Punk.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunt darts in looking for a takedown but Punk gets double underhooks and turns Hunt into the cage.

Still in the clinch, Punk scores with a nice short uppercut.

Punk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hunt is trying to pull guard but Punk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hunt gets control of Punk's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hunt will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Punk wants to stand but Hunt is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hunt looking for a guillotine here but Punk defends easily.

Hunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Punk is one step ahead there.
Hunt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hunt has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Punk doesn't defend quickly enough and Hunt has managed to lock this one up! Can Punk escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hunt on a fantastic submission victory.
