Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Robyn - Indestructible. Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Filter - Hey Man, Nice Shot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Karim Chamakh had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Karim Chamakh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Chamakh counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chamakh.

Chamakh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones tries a low kick but Chamakh avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Chamakh takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chamakh.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chamakh's head backwards.
Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Chamakh has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Chamakh and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones connects with a high kick.
Chamakh blocks the body kick.
Chamakh checks the leg kick.

Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chamakh is able to avoid easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones connects with a leg kick. Chamakh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Jones misses with an uppercut. Chamakh saw that one coming.

Jones looks to land a left hand but Chamakh moved out of range nicely.
Chamakh moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Chamakh slips a jab from Jones.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chamakh checks a leg kick.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chamakh's calf.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Chamakh moves out of range of the leg kick from Jones.
Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Jones dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Chamakh has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chamakh pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Chamakh dives into Jones's guard.

Jones feints and then cracks Chamakh's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chamakh down.

We've been told by Chamakh's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Jones is looking to control Chamakh's arms but Chamakh gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage.

Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Chamakh's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Chamakh wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karim Chamakh.
I think Chamakh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
