Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucentus Darklance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Nevsky!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevsky throws a series of punches but Darklance avoids them all with ease.
Darklance wants to clinch up but Nevsky keeps it at a distance.
Darklance misses with a takedown
and Nevsky decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Darklance's guard.
Nevsky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nevsky trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Darklance looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nevsky postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Darklance had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nevsky defends it easily.
Nevsky is working Darklance over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darklance is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nevsky defends well.
Nevsky throws a big elbow that misses.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nevsky's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Darklance has momentary wrist control but Nevsky slips an elbow through the middle.
Nevsky wants to control from the top but Darklance keeps moving.
Nevsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Nevsky drops back looking for a leg! Darklance is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Darklance manages to kick Nevsky off! Nevsky jumps back into Darklance's guard.
Nevsky is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darklance throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Nevsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Darklance is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nevsky with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darklance preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Nevsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Darklance swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Darklance has his foot on Nevsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nevsky works his way back into a safe position though.
Nevsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Darklance has wrist control.

Darklance is rocked!
Darklance looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Oh Darklance is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nevsky gets to his feet and stands over Darklance, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Darklance felt that one! Nevsky unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Darklance from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Nevsky!
