Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quentin Costa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grant Riley! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley lands a head shot. No luck for Costa with that takedown attempt. Costa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Riley quickly recovers to half guard. Costa misses with a head shot. Riley uses the momentum to regain guard. Riley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Costa looking to pass the guard. Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riley pulls Costa in close to prevent any damage. Costa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa stands up over Riley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Costa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Costa postures up and lands a big shot to Riley's brow. Costa throwing strikes but missing. Riley wants to sweep here but Costa controlling him for the moment. Costa throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Costa throwing strikes but missing. Costa with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Costa chips away with some ground and pound. Riley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Costa is looking to work some ground and pound but Riley has wrist control. Costa makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Costa with a flurry of punches that miss. Riley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Riley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Costa is one step ahead there. Costa with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Costa. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Riley wants to sweep but no luck. Costa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Riley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Costa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Riley but Riley pushes him off and we're back to square one. Costa fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quentin Costa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riley cracks Costa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nice shot by Riley. Costa closes the distance and clinches up with Riley, looking for a takedown. Costa pushes Riley against the cage but Riley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Costa shoots and misses and Riley counters with a slapping leg kick. Costa is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Riley coming out on top. Riley connects with a solid leg kick. Riley misses with a body shot.

Costa has his takedown stuffed and Riley finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Quentin Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Costa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Riley defends it nicely. Costa moves forwards but Riley connects with a nice, crisp jab. Riley cracks a nice hook into Costa's ribs. Riley cracks Costa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Costa is rocked! Costa glances at the clock... BAM! Riley nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Costa crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Costa is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Grant Riley! A relieved looking Grant Riley thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
