Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Flynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phillip Rockhound! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn dodges the punch combination from Rockhound.
Rockhound takes the fight into the clinch. Flynn fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Flynn manages to break the clinch.
Rockhound moves into the clinch successfully.
Flynn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rockhound blocks an uppercut.
Flynn misses with some punches.
Flynn tries to throw a body punch but Rockhound avoids it by throwing Flynn back against the cage. Rockhound blocks an uppercut.
A shot in the inside from Rockhound. Flynn throws a head punch that misses. Rockhound escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rockhound looks to land a right hand but Flynn moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockhound fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Flynn slips a jab and a cross from Rockhound.
Rockhound cracks Flynn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Flynn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rockhound to score with a decent uppercut. Rockhound lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Flynn at a distance.
Flynn takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Flynn is defended easily by Rockhound. Rockhound punishes Flynn's body with a nice straight punch. Oooooh!!! Rockhound has knocked Flynn down with a huge combo! Rockhound steps away and waves a wobbly Flynn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Flynn is rocked!
It looks like Jeff Flynn has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flynn get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Flynn stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Rockhound runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Phillip Rockhound! Phillip Rockhound seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
