Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Stoke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stoke comes into the arena with Tear the world down blaring out of the sound system. Griffin has chosen Forrest Griffin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Forrest Griffin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rob Stoke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Forrest Griffin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Stoke. Stoke lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stoke tries to bum rush Griffin with a series of wild strikes but Griffin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Griffin's corner calls for a 1-2. Griffin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. We've been told by Stoke's head coaches at Jef Li's MMA(13 coaches, 49 cap) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Stoke swinging wildly here.
Stoke jabbing away but nothing is landing. Griffin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Stoke is breathing heavily. Stoke misses with a jab, cross combination.
Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stoke throws a right hand that misses
and Griffin counters with a left hand that sends Stoke to the canvas! This has been an exciting period of action! Griffin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Griffin ducks under a wild hook from Stoke. Stoke throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Griffin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stoke is rocked! Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stoke throws out a loose jab but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it. Griffin moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Stoke goes down! Can Griffin finish him!? Oh Stoke is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin slips nicely into half guard. Griffin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Griffin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin decides to stand and escape the position. Stoke seems to have got his legs back now. Griffin cracks Stoke with a hook to the temple - Stoke is on wobbly legs here! Griffin swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Stoke falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Griffin wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Forrest Griffin! A very excited looking Forrest Griffin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
