Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wu Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wukong by Riot. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksey Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wu Kong! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Petrov has managed to clinch.
Petrov taking a breather. Kong fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Petrov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kong looking for a sweep. Not yet Kong, not yet. Petrov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Petrov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Petrov stands and throws Kong's legs to the side, diving into side control. Petrov wants to control but Kong is keeping him busy. Kong tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Petrov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Petrov easily slips into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kong really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kong wants to control but Petrov is having none of it. Petrov looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Kong tries to lock up and control but Petrov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kong is trying desperately to improve position. Petrov controlling from mount. Kong is looking to get to half guard. Petrov scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Petrov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kong tries to hold on but Petrov pushes him away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Petrov controlling his opponent. Petrov lands a nice shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov controlling his opponent. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kong tries to hold on but Petrov postures up. Kong bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Petrov wants to get back to his feet but Kong is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Petrov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Petrov tries to get out of the position. Kong trying to control but Petrov is working from the bottom. Kong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Petrov's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kong prevents Petrov from improving his position. Petrov won't allow Kong to pass to mount. Kong prevents Petrov from standing back up.
Petrov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kong. Kong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kong is trying to control the action in half guard but Petrov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aleksey Petrov will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Kong tries to roll over but Petrov keeps him under control. Petrov is looking to take a break and control but Kong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Petrov is stalling here. Kong is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Petrov seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kong has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Petrov is looking for a sweep. Petrov can't do much from the bottom here. Petrov is looking to regain half guard here but Kong keeps moving and retains side control. Kong trying to control the action but Petrov is working from the bottom. Petrov tries to buck Kong off but Kong is having none of it. Kong in side control lands a decent elbow. Kong has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kong is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Petrov is surviving well by controlling Kong's body position as best he can. Kong avoids the attempt from Petrov to control. Petrov is bucking up trying to escape but Kong cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Petrov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kong slips a nice elbow through Petrov's hands, connecting with Petrov's forehead. Kong wants to work for an arm triangle but Petrov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kong is trying to control the action in half guard but Petrov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kong seems to be working for a kimura but Petrov defends the submission attempt. Kong wants to take a breather but Petrov is having none of it. Kong is figuring out what he wants to do next. Petrov wants to improve his position but Kong is controlling well.
Petrov has a hand on Kong's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kong takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Petrov is squirming around, avoiding Kong's attempts to control the action. Wu Kong has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kong tries to control but Petrov wriggling away. Petrov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kong controlling the pace for now. Kong tries to control but Petrov wriggling away. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Petrov is looking to get to half guard. Kong jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Petrov manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wu Kong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kong feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Petrov's calf. Kong lands a front kick. Petrov walks into a straight right hand from Kong. Petrov shoots for a takedown but Kong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Petrov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kong is looking for a triangle but Petrov pushes his legs off easily.

Aleksey Petrov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Petrov drives through with a takedown into Kong's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Petrov distracts Kong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Petrov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kong working for a triangle but Petrov defends it easily.

Petrov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Aleksey Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petrov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kong on his heels. He'll look to pass Kong's guard now, I'm sure. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kong is trying to control the position but Petrov postures up. Petrov preventing the sweep. Petrov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kong's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kong is trying to keep Petrov in close.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Wu Kong. I think Kong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
