Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy South (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommy South is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima misses with a two punch combination.
Lima fakes high and swings low for a body shot but South manages to avoid it.

South clinches up with Lima and pushes him back against the cage.

South stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lima swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and South counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lima thinking.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
South shoots in for a takedown but Lima shows good takedown defense.

South is looking to take a break and control but Lima is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
South moves into full mount! Lima won't be happy about that!
South takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tommy South showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lima tries to close the distance and clinch up but South swats him away and circles back towards the center.

South jumps guard but Lima stands there with South around his waist. South gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lima throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lima stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lima wants it to stay on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

South is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lima can't fight it off and eventually South manages to take the fight to the floor. Lima looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gabriel Lima.
I think South has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
