Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez has chosen Sangre y Joseka - Para que las chicas bailen as his entrance music. Hugo Martinez looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Martinez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martinez is one step ahead there.
Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Silva is wriggling around but Martinez manages to pass to half guard.
Silva keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Martinez prevents Silva from improving his position.
Martinez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Martinez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martinez manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Martinez's guard.
Martinez is trying to keep Silva in close.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Martinez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Silva has picked Martinez up and slammed him! Martinez can't keep hold of the triangle and Silva manages to pass to side control!
Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Martinez is defending well.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Martinez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Silva is trying to break the clinch but Martinez has him pressed against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martinez defends well.
Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Martinez escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Martinez decides to stand back up.
Martinez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martinez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martinez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Martinez wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Jerry Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Silva is squirming around, avoiding Martinez's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Silva sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Silva is looking for a sweep. Martinez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silva is staying active underneath Martinez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Martinez uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Silva pushes Martinez up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva tries to break the clinch but Martinez is controlling the position.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Martinez obliges.
Silva gets control of Martinez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Martinez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Martinez escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Silva is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Martinez off and has taken his back!
Silva has the hooks in. Martinez is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Martinez rolls, trying to escape but Silva keeps control of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silva struggling to keep hold of the position.
Martinez is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Silva is looking for the choke from the back position but Martinez is controlling his hands well.
Silva is working for a rear naked choke. Martinez is not defending it well and Silva has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Martinez refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Martinez's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jerry Silva!
Hugo Martinez spoke after the fight, saying 'I've been too lazy lately. Must train more.'.
