Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Dale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Loque Nahak! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nahak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nahak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nahak creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Nahak cracks Dale with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dale taking a bit of punishment here - Nahak scoring with strikes. Dale really is a fat lump. Dale takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Nahak throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Nahak misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nahak grinds an elbow into Dale's temple. Nahak working the head and body with strikes. Nahak working the strikes but Dale uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Ground and pound from Nahak. Dale taking some punishment here, with Nahak in his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nahak throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nahak connects with a nice short shot to Dale's temple. Nahak throws a strike but Dale avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Nahak throwing strikes from guard but Dale blocks nicely. Nahak is working Dale over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Nahak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nahak content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dale utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nahak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nahak stands up over Dale, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nahak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nahak keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dale's head.
Dale is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nahak arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Dale's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Loque Nahak!
