The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Obama ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Obama misses with a body shot.
Lavelle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Obama throws out the jab.
Obama swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lavelle takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Obama has closed the distance and engaged Lavelle in a clinch.
Obama tries a knee to the head but Lavelle blocks it.
Lavelle pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lavelle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Obama is aware though and is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lavelle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Obama's guard.
Lavelle passes Obama's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lavelle is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Obama to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Obama shrugs it off.
Obama defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lavelle.
Lavelle jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Obama manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Obama looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Lavelle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Obama knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lavelle throws a series of punches but Obama avoids them all with ease.

Barack Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama lands a lovely overhand right.

Lavelle seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Obama swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lavelle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Obama tries to avoid it but Lavelle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Obama to the ground. Obama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Obama gets through Lavelle's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lavelle manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lavelle is looking for a triangle but Obama pushes his legs off easily.
Lavelle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Obama is one step ahead there.
Lavelle has his foot on Obama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Obama works his way back into a safe position though.
