Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Gloom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guido Gloom is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vinny Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guido Gloom!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack tries to clinch there but Gloom circles away.
Gloom tries for a takedown but Mack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mack is looking to clinch.
Gloom keeps the fight on the outside.
Gloom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mack's corner calls for a 1-2. Mack obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gloom scores with a hook.
Mack takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Guido Gloom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gloom dives in and scores a takedown into Mack's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mack trying to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gloom pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mack is keeping the position for now.
Mack wants to get back to his feet but Gloom is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gloom is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gloom's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Good work by Mack as he checks the leg kick.
Gloom wants to land a leg kick but Mack is out of range.

Gloom clinches up with Mack and pushes him back against the cage.

Mack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mack checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mack doesn't manage to clinch there - Gloom circles away.
Gloom connects with a solid leg kick.

Gloom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mack was covering up waiting for the punch and Gloom finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gloom slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mack wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gloom advances to mount.

Gloom is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gloom extends the arm and Mack is forced to tap!
