The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco closes the distance but wahsalliD moves to the side
and wahsalliD counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Francisco closes the distance but wahsalliD moves to the side
and Francisco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

wahsalliD misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
wahsalliD slips a jab and a cross from Francisco.
Francisco tries to clinch up but wahsalliD circles away and keeps his distance.
Francisco goes for a double leg but wahsalliD avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as wahsalliD continues to drive forward.

wahsalliD drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
wahsalliD lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Francisco wants to break free but wahsalliD has control.
Francisco misses with a punch to the body.
Francisco wants to get back to striking at distance but wahsalliD won't allow it.

wahsalliD works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Francisco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and wahsalliD defends well.
wahsalliD decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Francisco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. wahsalliD tries to avoid it but Francisco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag wahsalliD to the ground. wahsalliD escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Francisco connects with a high kick.
wahsalliD throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Francisco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but wahsalliD defends well and Francisco ends up having to push wahsalliD into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
JT wahsalliD has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Francisco.
wahsalliD can't get the takedown.
wahsalliD lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Francisco backwards.
Francisco jumps guard but wahsalliD turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Francisco has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. wahsalliD is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Francisco looking to stall.
wahsalliD scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Francisco is trying to pull guard but wahsalliD turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Francisco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. wahsalliD smiles and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
wahsalliD shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Francisco as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JT wahsalliD dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Francisco wants to clinch
and wahsalliD counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Francisco drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
wahsalliD is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Francisco defends well.
wahsalliD is looking for a triangle but Francisco pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

wahsalliD has his foot on Francisco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Francisco works his way back into a safe position though.
wahsalliD escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Francisco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

wahsalliD has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Francisco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Francisco wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of wahsalliD's closed guard. He's half up but wahsalliD has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! wahsalliD pivots and extends the arm, Francisco falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by wahsalliD! Well done that man!

In his post fight interview, JT wahsalliD started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
