Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mies is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mies wants to clinch.
Lima avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mies tries to close the distance and clinch but Lima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lima shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mies is trying to defend but Lima finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mies pushes Lima off looking to stand but Lima dives back in and keeps control.
Mies is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Lima perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Lima decides to return to a standing position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lima fails to land the takedown.
Mies has a takedown stuffed.

Lima shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lima keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Mies wants to get back to full guard.
Lima stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andre Lima.
Lima shoots in for a takedown but Mies shows good takedown defense.
Lima looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lima has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mies tries to get to full guard but Lima has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andre Lima.
Lima throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mies tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lima is in Mies's guard.
Mies looks winded!
Lima stands up from Mies's guard - Lima perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lima shoots in looking for a takedown. Mies tries to sprawl out of it but Lima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mies manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lima feints and as Mies raises his hands in defense, Lima changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mies looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lima stays in close to Mies's body and controls the position.
Lima is pushing down on Mies's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mies is fighting to maintain full guard but Lima has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lima passes to side control.
Lima decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Mies stuffs the takedown attempt from Lima. Lima gets slowly back to his feet.
Mies looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lima is fending him off so far but Mies persists. Nope, Lima circles away and we're back to standing.

Lima looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Mies can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lima controls the pace.
Lima drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lima seems to have locked his on tight now - Mies screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lima, as he picks up the win!
