Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Pinkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinkman has chosen On the Rag as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Pinkman! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Connor lands with a shot to the body. Pinkman walks into a jab. Connor with a nice cross. Connor scores with a jab. Pinkman acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Connor tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Pinkman lands a jab to the nose. Connor misses with an uppercut. Pinkman saw that one coming. Connor throws a body punch but Pinkman moves out of range. Pinkman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Connor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pinkman in his tracks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Connor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pinkman throws a series of punches but Connor avoids them all with ease. Pinkman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Connor sizes up Pinkman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinkman slips under a jab. Pinkman ducks under a wild hook from Connor. Connor connects with a body shot. Nice cross by Connor. Connor feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pinkman's calf. Connor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Decent striking displayed by Pinkman there. Pinkman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pinkman showed some decent athleticism there. Pinkman trying to control the action but Connor is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pinkman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Connor has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pinkman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Connor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pinkman. Pinkman is pressing down on Connor's thigh, looking to free his foot. Connor is holding on for now. Pinkman trying to control the action but Connor is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor wants to get back to full guard. Connor trying to control but Pinkman postures up.
Pinkman wants to work for an arm triangle but Connor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Connor wants to control but Pinkman passes into side.
Pinkman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Connor keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Who's going to make the next move? The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pinkman taking a break here but Connor is having none of it and regains half guard. Connor is defending against the submission attempts here by Pinkman.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Connor dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Connor throws a hook to the side of Pinkman's head but Pinkman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Connor misses with a wild body shot. Connor scores with a decent looking hook. Connor throws a series of punches but Pinkman moves out of range. Pinkman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pinkman throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Matthew Connor has been cut. Pinkman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Connor dodges the punch combination from Pinkman.
Connor lands with a nice body kick. A jab from Connor misses. Pinkman lands with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Connor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pinkman.
That's one minute gone in the round. A cross from Connor lands. Connor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pinkman can do to turn this around? Pinkman takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pinkman shoots in for a takedown but Connor shows good takedown defense. Pinkman misses with a lunging right hand
and Connor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pinkman avoids the body shot from Connor.
Pinkman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Connor pinned against the cage. Connor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pinkman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A shot to the body from Connor misses and Pinkman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Connor's guard. Connor is controlling Pinkman's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connor keeping moving, preventing Pinkman from controlling successfully. Connor pulls Pinkman in close to his closed guard and prevents Pinkman from doing any damage or advancing position. Pinkman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Connor keeping full guard, as Pinkman tries to pass. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Connor lands a nice looking kick to the body. Pinkman takes a step back to recover. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Connor. Connor misses with a left hand and Pinkman counters with a straight right hand. Connor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jesse Pinkman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Connor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pinkman momentarily.
Connor digs a good body shot into Pinkman's ribs. Jab, jab by Connor - just one landing. Connor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Connor throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Matthew Connor is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Connor throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Connor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pinkman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Connor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Matthew Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Pinkman. Connor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Connor wants it to stay on the feet. Connor connects with a body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pinkman throws a lazy right hand but Connor sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pinkman lands a really nice looking cross but Connor seems unphased.
Connor digs a good body shot into Pinkman's ribs. Connor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Connor misses with an uppercut. Connor lands the left hand. Connor throws an off balance right hand
and Pinkman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Connor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pinkman sees it coming and avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Connor dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Matthew Connor's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Connor looks to throw the jab but Pinkman is out of range. Pinkman ducks under a wild hook from Connor. Pinkman takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pinkman slips a jab from Connor. Connor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pinkman takes one to the side of the head.
Connor misses with a looping left. Pinkman has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Connor loads up on a big right hand but Pinkman slips the punch. Matthew Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Connor swings for the body but Pinkman moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Connor misses with an uppercut
and Pinkman counters with a nice uppercut. Connor misses with a looping right. Pinkman takes a body punch but keeps moving. Connor stuffs the takedown attempt from Pinkman. Pinkman gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor throws a hook to the side of Pinkman's head but Pinkman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A looping hook to the body misses from Connor. Pinkman does a little dance to reset his feet. Connor jabs at Pinkman's body. Good exchange - Connor coming out on top. Connor throws a body punch but Pinkman moves out of range. Connor fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pinkman on the side of the head. Connor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pinkman was well out of range. Poor timing from Connor. Nice defenses there by Pinkman. Pinkman blocks a head kick by Connor.

and Pinkman counters with a nice uppercut. Connor throws a poor cross that misses
and Pinkman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pinkman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Connor is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Pinkman throws a right and a left that both miss. Oh Connor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Connor throws a lazy uppercut
and Pinkman counters with a huge right that knocks Connor out cold! Pinkman is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
