Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gator Bait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Kampemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kampemann has chosen pretty enough as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gator Bait! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Kampemann! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bait avoids the head kick by Kampemann.
Kampemann shoots in for a double leg but Bait sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kampemann throws a front kick aimed at Bait's knee but Bait avoids it well. Kampemann shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kampemann is pressing down on Bait's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bait is holding on for now. Kampemann controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bait gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kampemann trying to control but Bait is working from the bottom. Kampemann is fighting to break Bait's control of his arms but Bait is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bait looking for a sweep. Not yet Bait, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kampemann throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bait. A combination from Kampemann does no damage. Kampemann blocks a head kick by Bait.
Kampemann has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bait is landing a low percentage of strikes. Kampemann misses with a body kick. Kampemann is looking to land body kicks. The fighters circling - Kampemann throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kampemann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kampemann throws a hook but Bait blocks it. Bait misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Donk. Kampemann catches Bait right on the button with a cross. Kampemann takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Martin Kampemann has been cut. Bait forces Kampemann back against the cage and clinches. Kampemann looking to stall.
Kampemann tries to score a body lock takedown but Bait shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bait breaks the clinch.
Kampemann tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bait was well out of range. Poor timing from Kampemann. Kampemann waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kampemann is defended easily by Bait. Gator Bait has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Kampemann. Kampemann goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A head kick by Kampemann misses and Bait counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice defenses there by Bait. Bait tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bait moves out of range of the body kick. Kampemann with a poor takedown and Bait counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kampemann thinking. Bait takes a swing at Kampemann's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Martin Kampemann will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Martin Kampemann's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bait shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kampemann is trying to defend but Bait finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kampemann is looking for a sweep. Bait is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bait wants to work for an arm triangle but Kampemann is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bait throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bait sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kampemann looking for submissions off his back. Bait is looking to advance position but Kampemann won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bait drops an elbow to the side of Kampemann's head. Bait looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bait is looking to take a break and control but Kampemann is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bait lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kampemann trying to control from the bottom.
Bait scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bait thows a huge punch but Kampemann dodges it nicely.
Nice strikes from Bait there. Gator Bait overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kampemann has hold of Bait's hands but Bait slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bait is nestled in close to Kampemann, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bait is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kampemann defends it well. Kampemann tries to get to full guard but Bait has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bait seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kampemann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bait has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Still in half guard, Bait seems content to control. Kampemann moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kampemann can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bait controls the pace. Kampemann trying to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bait lands a head kick that stumbles Kampemann and the fighters go to the mat.

Bait throws a sloppy head kick and Kampemann moves out of range easily. Kampemann shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bait counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bait drives through with a takedown into guard.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bait works his way back into a safe position though. Kampemann being controlled here, momentarily. Bait pushing down on Kampemann's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kampemann tries to roll over but Bait keeps him under control. Kampemann is not content to let Bait control the position. Kampemann tries to kick Bait off but Bait keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bait lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Still in half guard, Bait seems content to control. Bait is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bait is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kampemann sees it coming and defends easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bait is pressing down on Kampemann's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kampemann is holding on for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Gator Bait showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bait has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
