The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peric tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lovato has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lovato is trying to drag Peric to the mat but Peric just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lovato has picked Peric up - he's going for a ride! Lovato dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Lovato is working for a kimura but Peric is defending it quite comfortably.
Lovato is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Peric knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lovato on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peric avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lovato.
Lovato seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peric does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Peric pushes Lovato off looking to stand but Lovato dives back in and keeps control.
Lovato works his way into side control.
Lovato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lovato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lovato is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peric knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lovato goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Peric has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lovato but great work by Peric.
