Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wei Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sung might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Last Day. Hansen has chosen Valravn - Marsk as his entrance music. Daniel Hansen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wei Sung's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wei Sung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sung falls off balance throwing a combination

so Hansen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hansen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hansen taking a breather here.
Sung is looking for a sweep.
Sung looks to move to half guard but instead Hansen has passed into mount! Damn!

Hansen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hansen tries to control but Sung wriggling away.
Sung tries to hold on but Hansen postures up.
Hansen wants to take Sung's back but he can't do it this time.

Sung tries to reverse the position but Hansen maintains control.
Hansen looking to control but Sung is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sung wants to control but Hansen is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sung will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Tokyo inform us that Hansen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Sung clinches up with Hansen and pushes him back against the cage.
Hansen blocks an uppercut.

Hansen manages to pull guard.
Sung pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hansen is keeping the position for now.
Sung trying to control but Hansen is working from the bottom.
Hansen wants to sweep here but Sung controlling him for the moment.

Sung showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Sung looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Sung might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Wei Sung just wasn't active enough.
Nice sprawl there from Hansen as Sung shoots in.
Wei Sung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hansen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sung gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hansen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sung just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hansen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sung regains guard immediately.
Sung tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hansen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hansen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Hansen wants to control from the top but Sung keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Daniel Hansen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sung misses with a takedown attempt

and Hansen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sung won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wei Sung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A control attempt from Sung but he's now mounted!
Hansen trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Sung is looking to get to half guard.
Sung tries to hold on but Hansen postures up.
Sung is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hansen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Daniel Hansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Sung tries for a takedown but Hansen circles away easily

and Hansen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sung is trying to control the position but Hansen postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wei Sung.
Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hansen shoots in and drives through. Sung sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Sung.
Wei Sung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Hansen.
Nice takedown defense from Hansen. No joy for Sung on that attempt.

Hansen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sung quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sung is refusing to be controlled, as Hansen sits in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hansen is stalling here. Sung is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hansen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sung has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Sung advances nicely into full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sung trying to control but Hansen is having none of it.
Sung looking to finish Hansen with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hansen!

Sung controlling his opponent.

Sung can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hansen is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hansen is trying to escape the mount but Sung keeps good control and instead manages to take Hansen's back.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Daniel Hansen.
I've got Hansen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
