And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laakkonen throws a predictable looking body shot
and Pijakowski counters with a shoot takedown. Laakkonen fights it but they end up in guard.
Laakkonen wants to stand and escape but Pijakowski is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laakkonen wants to get back to his feet but Pijakowski passes into half guard.
Laakkonen is trying to stand back up but Pijakowski is controlling him
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laakkonen can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laakkonen is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Pijakowski frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Laakkonen is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Pijakowski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Laakkonen is looking to escape.
Pijakowski won't let Laakkonen get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Laakkonen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pijakowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
