Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donato Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Imagine Dragons-Radioactive. Vader has chosen Burn It To The Ground as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 28 - 1, fighting out of New York, Donato Russo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vic Vader! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Vader misses with a takedown attempt and Russo counters with a solid body kick. Vader tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Russo counters with a solid body kick. Vader has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Russo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Russo misses with a head shot. Vader uses the momentum to regain guard. Vader looking for a sweep. Not yet Vader, not yet. Russo postures up in Vader's guard and throws a big left but Vader blocks it. Vader looking for a sweep. Not yet Vader, not yet. Russo wants to pass the guard but Vader is keeping the position. Russo working some strikes from top position. Russo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Russo distracts Vader with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russo looking to pass the guard. Russo scoring with some ground and pound. Russo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Russo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vader manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Russo has Vader in his guard. Vader tries to free his leg and advance position but Russo is retaining full guard. Russo has a closed guard, preventing Vader from standing up. Vader throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Russo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Russo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russo wants to get back to his feet but Vader is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Vader wants to control from the top but Russo keeps moving. Vader wants to get up but he can't break Russo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Vader must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Vic Vader was stalling too much, according to the referee. Vader fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Russo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russo throwing strikes from guard but Vader blocks nicely. Russo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vader swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vader trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Vader looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Russo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vader's guard. Vader is trying to maintain the position but Russo is very close to passing his half guard. Russo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vader sees it coming and defends easily. Vader won't allow Russo to pass to mount. Russo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Vader is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Russo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vader's face.
Russo landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Russo loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Vader scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Russo land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Russo stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donato Russo! Our winner, Donato Russo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
