The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearmine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Seo did well to prevent Pearmine getting side control.
Seo regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pearmine trying to control but Seo is working from the bottom.
Seo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Seo keeping full guard, as Pearmine tries to pass.
Seo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Seo keeping moving, preventing Pearmine from controlling successfully.
Pearmine wants to pass the guard but Seo is keeping the position.

Pearmine trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Seo manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pearmine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Seo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pearmine looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pearmine looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pearmine!
Pearmine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Seo, who protects the arm well.
Pearmine has hold of Seo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Seo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pearmine cranks the arm and Seo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Seo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tim Pearmine!
In defeat, Jisuk Seo stepped up to the mic, saying '"oops...I did it again..." -nick fury from DC comics'.
