Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tom Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bagong Buhay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buhay is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tatsulok. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Pope!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bagong Buhay!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buhay lands a nice looking body shot.
Buhay throws a lazy right hand but Pope sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A jab from Pope does it's job there.
Pope throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Buhay walks into a jab.
Pope moves into the clinch successfully.
Buhay fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Buhay jumps guard but Pope turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Buhay tries to pull guard but Pope holds him up against the cage and eventually Buhay drops back down to his feet.
Tom Pope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bagong Buhay.
Buhay letting Pope take a breather here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Pope.
Buhay fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee calls for Pope to work.
Buhay jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pope walks away with a smile on his face. Buhay gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Buhay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Buhay misses with a double jab.
Pope tries to clinch up but Buhay circles away and keeps his distance.
Pope tries to clinch but Buhay moves out of range.
Buhay gets tackled into the cage by Pope. Pope maintains the clinch.
Buhay jumps into guard, dragging Pope to the mat.
Buhay looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pope is defending well. Buhay quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pope has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Buhay celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bagong Buhay!
A relieved looking Bagong Buhay thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
