Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quan Raiden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Poulain! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raiden is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Poulain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Raiden lands a two punch combo.
Poulain on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Raiden. Raiden obviously looking to wear him down.
Raiden scores with a jab to the body. Poulain looks gassed! Raiden's corner calls for a 1-2. Raiden obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Poulain fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Raiden lands a left and a right that sends Poulain crashing to the canvas! Raiden dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like David Poulain has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Raiden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raiden has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Raiden unloading with bombs! Raiden lands a big elbow. Raiden controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raiden lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raiden controlling from mount. Raiden's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Poulain is working to get back to half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Quan Raiden just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Raiden's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Raiden duly obliges. Raiden lands with a right hand. Raiden buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Raiden scores with a hook. Poulain takes a shot right to the bread basket. Raiden lands with a shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Raiden scoring well with a low kick there.
Raiden lands a head shot. Poulain takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Poulain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Raiden!
Raiden scores with a jab. Raiden displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Raiden dips to his left and cracks Poulain with an uppercut! Raiden digs a good body shot into Poulain's ribs. Raiden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Poulain's calf. Raiden lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Good exchange - Raiden coming out on top. Raiden is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Raiden scores with a jab. Poulain acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Nice shot lands for Raiden. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Raiden throws a front kick that sends Poulain stumbling back into the cage. Raiden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Poulain is rocked! Raiden goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quan Raiden dominated that round. The cut man is working on David Poulain's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Raiden works over Poulain's head and body with a nice combination. Poulain is still on wobbly legs! Can Raiden finish him? Raiden fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Poulain to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Poulain looks to clinch but Raiden throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Poulain taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Quan Raiden!
