Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kula Modrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiwi Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kula Modrich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kiwi Davis! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis throws a half hearted mid kick. Davis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Modrich's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Modrich is adopting a defensive guard. Modrich is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Modrich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Davis. Davis gets to his feet. Modrich looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Modrich defends well and Davis ends up having to push Modrich into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Davis has Modrich pressed against the cage.
Davis breaks the clinch.
Modrich lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice straight punches there by Modrich. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Modrich. Modrich avoids a punch combination nicely.
Modrich throws a hook but Davis avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Modrich checks a leg kick. Modrich connects with a single shot there. Modrich with a hook. Davis has closed the distance and engaged Modrich in a clinch.
Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Davis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Modrich keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Modrich keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Modrich not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Modrich looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Modrich manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This has been an exciting period of action! Davis is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Modrich trying to control but Davis is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Modrich controlling the position easily from mount. Davis is squirming around, avoiding Modrich's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to hold on but Modrich pushes him away. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Modrich looking to secure an arm triangle but Davis defends it well. Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Davis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Modrich trying to control but Davis is having none of it. Davis is looking to improve his position but Modrich isn't that keen on the idea. Modrich controlling from the full mount. Davis wants to hold on but Modrich pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Modrich moves to take his opponent's back. Modrich tries to get the hooks in deep but Davis pushed the leg off. Davis can't escape the position.

Modrich is hanging on to Davis's back as he tries to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lull in the action here.
Modrich is really struggling to control Davis but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kula Modrich will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nice shot by Modrich. Davis slips a jab from Modrich. Modrich lands an overhand right. Davis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Modrich throws out the jab. Davis closes the distance and pushes Modrich back into the cage. Modrich wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davis has him pressed against the cage. Modrich fails to pull guard.
Modrich tries to break the clinch but Davis is controlling the position. A body shot lands from Davis.
Davis breaks the clinch.
Modrich stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Modrich tests Davis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Davis winds up and cracks Modrich with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Modrich has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davis is working away from the top position though. Modrich regains full guard. Nicely done. Modrich is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Davis has his hands clasped together but Modrich extends and breaks Davis's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Modrich.
