Maine comes to the ring accompanied by 99 Problems. Ching Chong Ding Dong has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Carlos Maine's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Maine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ching Chong Ding Dong! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maine has Ding Dong up against the ropes in a clinch.
Ding Dong looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Ding Dong is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Maine is keeping busy. Maine tries to break the clinch but Ding Dong is controlling the position. Maine has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ding Dong uses from the top position. Maine wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Maine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ding Dong's guard. Maine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ding Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Maine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maine slips nicely into half guard. Well, if Maine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Maine wants to pass the guard but Ding Dong is defending well. Maine is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Maine not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Maine wants to free his trapped foot but Ding Dong is holding on for dear life with his legs. Maine works his way into side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Maine happy to just control the position for now. Maine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ding Dong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Maine content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ding Dong prevents Maine from moving into mount. Maine remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Carlos Maine just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Excellent takedown into side control there by Maine. Maine controls the position. Maine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ding Dong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Maine controls the position from side control. Maine is looking to take a break and control but Ding Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Maine has control of an arm but Ding Dong manages to advance to Maine's back! Maine looking to break Ding Dong's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ding Dong remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Maine will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Ding Dong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Maine controls the action. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ding Dong tries to escape but Maine has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Ding Dong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Maine is working the ground and pound. Can Ding Dong escape?
