Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Comte Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Comte Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Viceroy by Mac DeMarco. Boxing Comte Jr could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carlos Beltran's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beltran takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A looping hook to the body misses from Comte Jr. Beltran does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've been told by Comte Jr's head coaches at Tenement of Conviction that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Comte Jr misses with a hook. Beltran ducked under it nicely.
Comte Jr looks to land a combination but Beltran avoids it well.
Comte Jr cracks Beltran with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Beltran tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Comte Jr just stands there and leans against the cage.
Boxing Comte Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Beltran.

Beltran jumps guard but Comte Jr stands there with Beltran around his waist. Beltran gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Beltran controls Comte Jr momentarily but Comte Jr frees himself.

Beltran manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Comte Jr manages to get himself to full guard.
Beltran distracts Comte Jr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Comte Jr can't keep his opponent in guard - Beltran advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Comte Jr wants to get back to full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Beltran working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Comte Jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Beltran seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Beltran connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Comte Jr some visible discomfort.

Comte Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Comte Jr tries to get out of the position.
Beltran working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Oh Comte Jr is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beltran creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Beltran cracks Comte Jr with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Beltran immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Comte Jr is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Beltran!

A relieved looking Carlos Beltran thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
