Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Metin Eroglu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Takanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eroglu comes into the arena with No Worries blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Takanen's choice of entrance music: Krayzie Bone - Murda Mo. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eroglu keeps the fight on the outside.
We've been hearing reports that Eroglu has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Takanen lands a nice hook to Eroglu's body. Eroglu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Eroglu loads up on a big right hand but Takanen slips the punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eroglu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Takanens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Eroglu counters with a shoot takedown. Takanen fights it but they end up in guard.
Takanen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Eroglu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
