Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Abbott!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman ducks right into an uppercut from Abbott.


It looks like Reggie Coleman has been cut.
Coleman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Coleman throws a right and a left that Abbott avoids nicely.
Coleman fails to land with a series of punches.
Abbott moves out of range of the body kick.
Abbott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Coleman has time to react.

Abbott cracks Coleman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Abbott has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Coleman to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abbott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Coleman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Abbott defends well and Coleman ends up having to push Abbott into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Abbott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Abbott misses the body punch

and Coleman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coleman.
Coleman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbott not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Coleman tries to free his leg and advance position but Abbott is retaining full guard.
Abbott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Coleman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Abbott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Coleman moves away from the strike by Abbott.
Abbott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coleman circles away quickly and effectively.
Abbott throws a body shot but no joy.
Abbott throws a right and a left that both miss.
Abbott fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abbott pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Coleman is looking to score with low kicks.
Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with Abbott, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes Abbott against the cage but Abbott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
David Abbott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Coleman.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Abbott as he jumps to the side.
Coleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Abbott circles away.
Abbott looks to land a left hand but Coleman moved out of range nicely.
Abbott misses with a body shot.
Abbott thuds a left hand into Coleman's body.
Coleman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Abbott fakes the body blow, causing Coleman to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Coleman goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Abbott!
David Abbott is the new super heavyweight champion!
